On the night of 18 to 19 May, a party atmosphere sets in during the free Long Night of Museums 2019
The 15th edition of the Long Night of Museums is beginning soon. 80 Parisian museums participate
in this event, opening their doors for free, late into the evening. Some even
offer live music, performances and shows.
Here is what I have found which is of particular interest close to your
hotel. At the Grand Palais, you will have free access to the Full Moon
exhibition. At 8:30 pm, in the Salon d’Honneur, you can watch the suspended
musical show, Fugue au Clair de Lune, in poetic form, imagined by
choreographer and circus artist Yoann Bourgeois and accompanied by
musician Alexandre Tharaud performing Claude Debussy’s Clair de Lune.
Not all the programmes have been finalized at this point. But I suggest you
keep an eye on the festivities at the Musée de l’Orangerie which organized a superb jazz concert for the event
last year. Learn more
