The Grévin Museum is an invitation to get up close and personal with some of your favourite household names. More than 200 celebrities are featured in extraordinary, interactive scenes. These creations are so unrealistic that they’re unsettling. From the time it opened its doors in 1882, the museum’s trademark has been its use of natural beeswax, which is similar to the texture of human skin and reacts very well to the passage of time. It takes 34 kilograms of wax to create one statue. Beehives were even installed, as a symbolic gesture, on the roof of the museum in 2017. Today, they are home to more than 80,000 bees.
Since it was renovated and reopened in February 2019, the Grévin Museum has added another 30 wax figures. The scenes have also been completely revisited. An experience tailored to children and a special family rate of €17 per person are available to visitors with children. Located in the 9th arrondissement, you can reach the museum in 20 minutes on public transport from our hotel, the Magda Champs Elysées.
