When Seville invades Chaillot to bring the flamenco fire to life in the heart of Paris!
Passion has never had a more beautiful
expression than the Flamenco, an amazing trio made of rhythms, songs and
dances! Fiery, vibrant and rebellious hearts meet at the Flamenco Art Biennale
from January 26 to February 13, 2020 to feel the intense connection of an art,
a country and a people from elsewhere, the gypsies.
For 4 years, Chaillot has joined the
Seville Biennial and invited aficionados and curious to rediscover this
ancestral Spanish art through seven proposals comprising a range of colorful
colors that unfolds from classic to contemporary reinventions.
¡Fandango! who opens the festival, is created
by the choreographer David Coria and the singer David Lagos, and invites us to
travel through 500 years of history and music.
The entire program mixes improbable
alliances (like that of the contemporary choreographer Christian Rizzo with
dancers Marie-Agnès Gillot and Andres Marin) with mythical names like Tomatito
who will give a gypsy concert in the purest tradition of the genre.
